History

Eric Messersmith, founder of Temple Jeet Kune Do, is a member of the World Jeet Kune Do Federation, the world’s largest organization for the development of Jeet Kune Do worldwide.  JKD was developed by non other than the “dragon” himself Bruce Lee with roots in Chinese Wing Chung, French Fencing, and American boxing.  It is not designed for sport or tournaments but for practical and efficient self-defense and physical fitness.  As a result there are no traditional belts or martial arts attire, but levels of skill completion and loose comfortable clothing is worn during training to simulate every-day life.

So we fix your eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen.  For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
